Drumming (1971) by Steve Reich is one of the most influential works of musical minimalism and a cornerstone of the contemporary percussion repertoire.

Built from repeating rhythmic patterns that gradually shift through the process of phasing, the piece creates a powerful and immersive sound world where pulse, resonance and collective precision are central.

This performance features bongos, marimbas and glockenspiels, and is performed by students of the percussion class at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.
